Everything couples ask before booking a wedding podcast kit, from price and video to where to set up the studio. Can't find yours? Email [email protected] and a real person will reply.
The basics
What is a wedding podcast?
A wedding podcast is a real podcast made at your wedding: guests sit down at a podcast setup and answer the questions you picked, and you get a produced episode, edited clips ready to post and, with a camera kit, the full video.
What do we actually get?
Every kit gets you a produced podcast episode, edited clips sized for social and every raw recording. Camera kits, starting with The Studio, add a 4K camera, the full uncut video, an edited video episode and 10 ready-to-post vertical clips.
Who picks the questions?
You do. Choose from our library of tried-and-tested questions or write your own, from sweet to nosy. We print them on cards that sit next to the mics.
Do we need any tech skills?
No. The recorder has one record button, the mics are already plugged in, and camera kits arrive preset. A friend, planner or coordinator sets it up in about five minutes.
How is this different from an audio guestbook?
An audio guestbook phone records one person leaving a voicemail. A wedding podcast sits guests down at real mics (and a camera) to answer questions you chose, and you get a produced episode, clips and video instead of a folder of voicemails.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes. Podcast.Wedding ships anywhere in the United States for a flat $49 round-trip shipping charge. Getting married in Oklahoma? Oklahoma Wedding Podcast brings a hosted, filmed podcast studio to your wedding in person.
Pricing & booking
How much does a wedding podcast kit cost?
Kits start at $449. The Podcast is $449 (audio only), The Studio is $649 and includes video, The Premiere is $749 and includes video. A flat $49 round-trip shipping charge, which covers the prepaid return label, is added at checkout, and you pay in full when you book.
Which kits include video?
The Studio ($649) and The Premiere ($749) include a 4K camera and tripod, the full video, an edited video episode and 10 vertical clips. The top kit adds a second camera for a two-angle edit and a cinematic highlight trailer. The Podcast is audio only.
How far in advance should we book?
As soon as you know your date. Kits are limited and each one is reserved for the days around your wedding, so popular Saturdays go first. The calendar opens about 18 months out, and the latest you can book online is 10 days before your wedding.
What if our date shows as sold out?
Email [email protected]. We sometimes free up a kit with a quick turnaround, and we keep a waitlist for cancellations.
Can we change our wedding date after booking?
Yes, if a kit is free for your new date. Email us your order reference and the new date and we'll move your booking.
Is shipping included?
Shipping isn't included in the kit price. A flat $49 round-trip shipping charge is added at checkout. It covers delivery to you and the prepaid return label in the box.
Are there any add-ons?
Yes: a rehearsal dinner session, extra mics, a rush edit and extra clips. Email us and we'll quote them alongside your booking.
Shipping & returns
When does the kit arrive?
We ship your kit at least 5 days before your wedding, so it lands with time for a test recording. You'll get tracking by email when it leaves our studio.
How do we send the kit back?
Pack everything into the same box, stick on the prepaid return label from the lid and drop it off with the carrier printed on your prepaid label within 3 days of your wedding. The return label is covered by your round-trip shipping charge.
What if something breaks at the wedding?
Kits are built for parties and normal wear is on us. If something gets damaged or lost, tell us when you ship the box back and we'll sort it out together.
At the wedding
Where should we set up the podcast studio?
Somewhere guests pass often but away from the speakers: near the bar, the lounge or the patio door. Two chairs, a small table and a plain-ish background are all you need.
Does it need Wi-Fi or a power outlet?
No Wi-Fi, ever. For power, set up within reach of a standard outlet. If your venue has none nearby, email us and we'll help you plan.
Will the DJ or band drown out the recordings?
Not if you set up away from the speakers. Our broadcast dynamic mics pick up the voice in front of them and reject most background noise, and we clean up the rest in the edit.
What about camera-shy guests?
The question cards do the hard part, and most guests forget the camera after the first answer. Anyone who'd rather stay off camera can still grab a mic, and you tell us what makes the edit.
How many guests can record?
As many as want to. There's no time limit per guest and the kit records far more than a single reception, so the line never needs to stop.
Your episode
How long until we get our episode?
Your episode, clips and video arrive about 3 weeks after your kit is back at our studio.
Can we choose what goes in the clips?
Yes. Tell us your favorite moments or let us pick, and you can request swaps before anything is final.
Can we share it with family?
Yes. Your episode, clips and video are yours to download and share however you like, and the clips are ready to post. It's media your family will rewatch for decades.
